Memories in the Making

Created by the Alzheimer's Association, Memories in the Making® is an art program for those with Alzheimer's or dementia to express feelings and emotions that may not be communicated verbally. The creative process brings a renewed joy and sense of accomplishment and self-respect to participants. The artwork featured on our website is a selection of paintings created by Dunlop House residents through this program. Each painting is named by the artist and the artwork is his or her own creation. This communication tool allows the artist to tell his or her story, and they speak to us in a profound way we cannot overlook.
